Biography
A designer who lives and works in Geneva. An associated artist of l’Abri 2019-2020, Benoît Renaudin is currently working on a research project at the HEAD–Genève about new technological utopias in Cairo, Egypt. He is also a lecturer at the École Publique de Journalisme de Tours (France) and for the Design Social Impact Master’s at the Paris College of Art. Having graduated as a Master in Media Design at the HEAD–Genève, Renaudin collaborates with stage directors, musicians and other designers. He co-created the Kairo[s] project on the complexity of the Cairo megalopolis (writing at Geneva’s Théâtre Saint-Gervais in 2015 and 2018, Pro Helvetia residence in Cairo in 2016, Festival de la Cité in Lausanne in 2016 and the Théâtre Olympia in Tours, France) with the stage director Isis Fahmy. An experimental music enthusiast, Renaudin often accepts commissions to create experimental instruments, notably for the Ensemble Batida, the musician Alexandra Bellon and the Lausanne composer Kevin Juillerat.
