Clément Paurd studied illustration at Strasbourg’s Ecole supérieure des Arts décoratifs, where he co-founded the Belles Illustrations collective periodical in 2008. Paurd graduated in 2009 and was a Jeunes Talents laureate at the Angoulême International Comics Festival the same year. From 2012 to 2014 he worked as an assistant for the publishing house L’Apocalypse.
Paurd is an author and illustrator (for the press, publishers of children books, and advertising agencies). He taught at the Cesan and then at the Ecole des Gobelins before he became the manager of the “Image/Story” major of the HEAD. Paurd’s work questions the relationships between theatre and comic books. He is the author of La Traversée, published by Editions 2024.
