A graduate in semiotics from the Bologna and Limoges universities, Marchetti was a professor in Semiotics of Creation and Design Theory at the HEAD – Genève from 2013 to 2017. Marchetti teaches at the Paris Institut Français de la Mode and the Bologna University, as part of the Design Technology for Fashion Communication Master’s. Marchetti also works as a strategy and brand identity consultant for the luxury market as well as in other fields. In 2020, Marchetti co-founded the prospective council bureau THE PROSPECTIVISTS in Paris. In addition to collaborating with Vogue and Revue Magazine on editorial projects, Marchetti curates exhibitions and writes about fashion, the luxury sector and branding. He has notably published Exhibit! Fashion on display: exhibitions and brand spaces (with S. Segre-Reinach, 2020) and Fashion Curating / La Mode Exposée (2016).
