Biography
Ruby Faure is a PhD student in philosophy and gender studies at LEGS (Université Paris 8), under the supervision of Marie-Dominique Garnier and Guillaume Sibertin-Blanc. Their doctoral research focuses on the colonial genealogy of European sexual categories between 1869 and 1912. They teaches queer/trans studies seminars at Paris 8, in the Gender Studies department and in the Philosophy department. Ruby Faure is a member of the Atelier Doctoral “Histoire du Genre”, the RIFET (Réseau International Francophone en Études Trans) and the Réseau International de Recherche sur les Sexologies Européennes.
