Biography
Camilla Paolino (IT, 1991) lives and works in Geneva, where she has co-run the independent art space TOPIC (2015–2017), the artist-run space one gee in fog (2017–ongoing), and the practice-based research project b-side feminism. a transcription marathon, exploring a set of audio archives belonging to Rivolta Femminile (Geneva, 2018; Bern, 2018; Lugano, 2019). After working for four years as an assistant and researcher at the CCC Research-based Master Program (HEAD-Genève, HES-SO), where she graduated in 2016, she currently operates as an independent curator, as well as a member of Plattform (Alumni), as co-director of CANALE MILVA, and as assistant Overheads and researcher at the University of Geneva. In 2019, Camilla obtained a MA in art history at the University of Geneva, with a research on the intersections between neo-feminism and art in 1970s Italy (Prix Genre 2021). Among her upcoming projects are the collective exhibitions Fotoromanza (Le Commun, Genève, 2021) and From Submersion to Subversion (PALAZZINA, Basel, 2021).
