Biography
Interior architect, Bertrand Van Dorp, who graduated in September 2018 from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (KADK), Copenhagen. His Master’s project, a renovation and extension for a church in Copenhagen was carried out and rewarded with a distinction as well as the Richter Foundation prize in June 2018.
Following his studies, Van Dorp took up an assistantship at HEAD – Genève, with the Interior Design Department, where he worked with teacher and joint founder of KOSMOS Architects, Leonid Slonimskiy. Together, they have taught and carried out workshop projects for the 2018 Designers’ Saturday in Langenthal, the 2019 Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles, and the 2019 Fashion Show at HEAD – Genève. In addition, with his partner Cohann Rémy, they have carried out residential renovation and restoration work, addressing the use of contemporary accommodation and highlighting the importance of detail in architecture.
