I. Cartes postales

You can listen to these sendings as synopsis of unwritten texts. These are also brief sound ethnographies of the spring 2020. And these are still archives of raw or knocked up voices.

You can receive this selection of postcards as the vocal adaptation of an evening that did not take place. These are also fragments of interior existence deposited in the microphone. And these are still letters, notes, flyers, songs thrown around.

You can hear these recorded voices as a collective saying Hello. It is also the Spoken worlds giving you some news. And these are still traces, vibrant and angry, pragmatic and gentle, of a new state of solitude.

II. Emma Rssx

Un travail où l’écriture permet une réinvention de soi à travers le format fragmenté du jeu de carte. Emma Rssx a présenté ce projet comme mémoire de Bachelor, sous la direction d’Ambroise Tièche, tout en y travaillant en parallèle à l’atelier d’écriture de Carla Demierre.

III. Madeline Marone

A Degree in Self-Oppression: Retranscribings from Selected Notebooks, is a series of epithets, a collection of short writings, from cahiers spanning spring 2019 to winter 2021. It bridges together states of mind, as well as quotes from real people, relaying a mood of melancholia and nostalgia for the past, while retaining a complacency for the vie quotidienne, a feeling which seems to continue on unchanged, despite circumstances: regardless of deaths, a worldwide pandemic, travels, births, important rencontres, and the occasional LSD trip. No matter how much the narrator looks for something different, the same feelings persists along the passage of time. In short, one remains human, despite all weariness in that endeavor.

V. Rudiments d’un musée possible

Cette création, signée Célia Houdart et Sébastien Roux pour l’émission Le Labo de la RTS Espace 2, est une adaptation radiophonique d’Antichambre, un projet mené en 2016 avec un groupe d’étudiantes de l’atelier d’écriture de la HEAD – Genève, sous la direction de Carla Demierre, à l’occasion des 20 ans du MAMCO. Il s’agissait d’offrir au MAMCO une annexe passagère consacrée à la question de l’écriture, un espace temporaire où penser le musée et son histoire dans leur dimension littéraire et leur rapport au texte. Ainsi, la nomenclature des salles du musée telle que l’a écrite Christian Bernard, son fondateur, a été choisie comme point d’origine et texte-source à partir duquel le projet s’est construit.
